Anyone who attempts to enter the front porch area or approach any door of the Scientist's door will hear in their ear the same eerie voice say "Password please." If they do not speak the correct password, they will be ejected by an unseen force fifty feet away. Their landing will be softened, but every time they attempt to enter, they will be asked, even if they are the Scientist! Better not forget that password.
This effect only works against corporeal and sentient beings, so it will stop intelligent monsters, but not bestial creatures or ghosts. If the Scientist is past the barrier, he can lift the effigy and move it to another house, but the password will never change.
