Uhhh... hey.

So this is gonna sound kinda weird, but I figure if anyone gets it, it's you; I know we fought last month and I'm supposed to be furious with you, but like. I legit don't even remember what we fought about? I can't remember what I was pissed over.

I just remember I said some hurtful shit and I thought I should maybe apologize for it. It can't have been over anything that important if I can't figure out what the fight was about anymore. So I'm sorry.

I hope we're cool... But I get it if we're not.

[Oh, it would have sounded really damned weird, if Reaper hadn't told her that she'd died, Vira hadn't known for a fact it was the second death, or if she hadn't talked to Max yesterday. She knew enough that it was still a little weird, but a lot less than it could have been.

But, instead of weird? It was intensely awkward. Not 'I jabbed you through the eye and now you're insisting on being my friend again' awkward, maybe, but oh way up there. She was pinching the bridge of her nose, trying to think about what to say, feeling the lingering hurt of that conversation bleeding away in just the insane, awkward moment going on here.]

Whatever we were arguing about, I forgive you. We both said some hurtful things to each other. I think it was pretty important at the time, Chloe, but I accept your apology. [Sigh] We're... uh... cool for the moment.

I think... how about we just accept that we were arguing because we both wanted the same thing really badly, and only one of us could have it. And we can both be temperamental, so it might come up again one of these days, but I still forgive you.

[Translation: She still wants to date your best friend who you totally don't remember right now, and she totally knows that might blow up in her face on day, depending on how things go.]

Sweet. I don't really like fighting with friends. I know I was in a... A really bad spot, even if the details are fuzzy, and I probably just took that out on you. Sometimes I do that. It's one of those inherent character flaws, I guess.
