[Makoto's talk with her had done a lot to help mentally and emotionally prepare her for the nature of this revelation. She'd also suspected that Setsuna was very very aware of things going on in her world, though not the exact 'why.' It helped.]

Mmmm, which one is that? As you said, a strategist and analyst could probably be of a bit of help. I get the feeling they're all very bold and brave, but... [Sometimes a little too bold.]

All in all, this is a good thing. Knowing that we can rely upon each other like this in many ways.

So, your powers are centered around time, and Jupiter's are around wind and thunder. I believe Venus is ... for lack of a better word, very passion focused?

I try to be. But I'm not as close with them as Mercury. And yes they're reckless and stubborn at times, but do what they believe is best.

Pluto is a planet of the Underworld, removed from time. The blood of the titan Chronos flows through me, and so Pluto was my home. Jupiter is a planet of storms, raging endlessly with tremendous strength, and is the largest of the planets in our solar system. Venus is a planet that symbolizes love, appeal, ambition, beauty, and passion.

Hmmm. I really need to read up on the greek gods I think, if I'm going to truly understand your respective powers. Tell me. What, besides the control of time and the explosive power I've seen you use, do your attacks and powers include?

I've had some success in combining attacks with Jupiter in the past. I am curious what combines with yours.

It's not likely. My abilities weren't meant to be paired with another. For millennia even the knowledge of my existence was forbidden for most, I alone guard the gates of time. Which is why living with those three for that brief time was like living a dream.

I'm glad that now I'm able to fight by their side though and to be by yours.

A pity, but at the same time, we do not need to be able to combine powers to be effective in a fight. I've seen what you are capable of, and I certainly intend to make sure that I remain useful.

I'm guessing the taboo has to do with the raw power that having authority over something so integral to existence as space or time is why you yourself are such a secret?

Most likely, when I took my post Queen Serenity gave me three taboos. The first taboo prohibits the travel through time by humans, the second taboo is that I am never to leave, and the third taboo is that I must never stop the flow of time; the ultimate taboo. As such to prevent a violation of the first knowledge of the guardian of the gates of time became forbidden, since I alone had the time keys.

[Until Small Lady stole one. Setsuna finished her tea, setting the cup to the side.]

Usagi is Princess Serenity and will one day be Neo Queen Serenity, but it was the previous Queen Serenity that assigned me to my post. And time has changed, the future has changed with all that has happened. Which is why I feel that we can change the fate of what is happening here as well.

Three taboos that are ... a little tragic in a way. To be lonely for an eternity, but I suppose that I understand them. You were meant to watch the vigil in your own way, set apart from others, from the world. And with time, it just seems to have taken on a life of its own, this ... protection. I only seemed able to understand when I saw the two of you, after all.

We are, as it is said, the "X Factor" in this situation. Even if she brought us here, Sodder could not predict how we would interact, how we would work with one another and what that might mean.

It was for a long time, but I am grateful to have had the honor to guard it.

You're right, she might believe she knows how we will based on the memories she has seen. But our interactions with one another change everything.

You seem well adjusted to the loneliness, though I'd like for you not to be quite so separated while you're here at least. [She smirked.] And as you said, our meetings seem to change a great many things.

It almost speaks to how things could have been different for many of us with just one more person in our lives back home.

You can never underestimate the impact that a single person can have on you, as well as time and the future. I'm thankful we've had the chance to meet and will try to keep from being distant.

You really can never underestimate it. One person changed my entire life after all, so I can't say I'm surprised to see it all over again. I certainly don't regret meeting you.

Then we should make it a point to check on each other regularly. I wouldn't mind having the chance to have breakfast or tea a little more often just so that we can talk. Plus I have a few things I think would look good on you.

[One or two projects she had been working on.]

Oh ho, someone has in mind a few projects for me, do they? [She managed a little light chuckle.] NO, I definitely don't mind the prospect in the slightest. We have even more excuses now, do we not?

Yes, though I could make something more fitting if you'd let me take your measurements some time. And you're right it does, now that the full truth has been laid out I hope that it makes a bit more sense.

I am absolutely open for measurements whenever you want. I think you have a good sense for my tastes. I'm told that I favor 'oriental' clothing a great deal, but I must say that I simply enjoy the way that it freely flows. The vietnamese have such an elegant style to them.

[She nodded shallowly. The ribbon at least let her get away with that.]

And yes, I think... a lot of things have begun to come together with you and the others now. Much moreso than before. You've had quite a time of it together. So, I'm glad you're not alone here.

I have a good idea, yes. I don't have my tape on me, so it will have to be another time. Perhaps you can come over and I can show you a few different patterns and fabrics to see which you would like.

None of us are. But it is good to be able to stand alongside them.

You know, there is truly something to be said to the camaraderie we develop in this world. The most strange of alliances and friendships and yet such things seem to have a way of giving us the ability to shoulder things we wouldn't normally.

[It was an excuse yes.]

That such connections are made by those from galaxies that others would never be connected by space of time. It allows for a number of rather unexpected outcomes and friendships.

What would you say has surprised you most about the outcomes you've had in this strange little place so far, Setsuna? [She grinned over at her.] Surely there must be something that's made you the most curious.

I've been curious about a number of things, mostly those related to Sodder, Cynthia, and Mother Superior. Others have mentioned meeting the Mayor and his form, and Cynthia I met not long ago, but it still feels as if there is a lot that I don't know yet. As for unexpected companions, outside of those from home there's is really only you and the Doctor.

He knows by the way, as a guardian of time as well he was rather quick to find out.

Yes. I confess that I'm not even upset with him for keeping your secret, nor am I surprised that he knew. As you said, he is a Time Lord. Where my people can sneak a peak at the future, he exists differently within the flow of time. I would imagine he 'felt' it when you wielded the full extent of your power.

[She tapped her lips considering for a moment.]

Hmmm, I can try to help by answering any questions you have. We could also see Roderic, if you wished. It's disturbing, but the way to access the Mayor in his current true form is possible to this day.

He did, it's how he knew to come to check on me when I came back. The doctor is a very thoughtful and helpful man. And I believe he's thankful to have someone who understands a little what it's like.

I can guarantee you that he is thankful. Having so few people who understand what he likes to call 'timey wimey' moments is a little infuriating I suspect. Having you near means that there's at least two or three around here who can understand the import of what he says at the least.
