[A tinny man's voice gives what is clearly a default answer machine message. Vira-Lorr is still figuring the phone out it seems.] "Hello, we are not available now. Please leave your name and phone number after the beep. We will return your call." *Beep*
Maybe I am, at that... but if I am, I have had help by physically living around them day in and day out. I haven't been among my own people for a long time.
[The Doctor stops to think and consider. Thinking about himself. Back to his first face. That didn't' travel with humans. Then didn't want Barba and Ian to go. At the end of that, that face learned that The Doctor enjoys traveling with humans. Enjoys their company.
And of course; allowed The Doctor to feel all these feelings in this regeneration. Rose taught his former incarnation that. Humans have shaped The Doctor's personality. However, he still can't understand how being around humans would change your hormones.]
[In her case, it wasn't hormones. It was just the sheer time she'd spent around shorter lived people. It made she and the longer lived races fascinated to watch. Ah, but it didn't really matter in the end.]
We each walk our own paths. Nothing to worry about. Humans are delightful in their own ways though, aren't they?
What with all their dancing, regardless of the dance.
We're talking about a species is inventive and invincible! It's only a few million years since they crawled up out of the mud and learned to walk. Puny, defenseless bipeds, they survived flood and famine and plague. They survived Cosmic wars and Holocausts.
And humans will be, at least for my universe. Out among the stars. Waiting to begin a new life.
Oh how priceless. Crawled out of the mud indee... [She laughed right after she said that.] I fear one difference between your humans and mine is that mine were fashioned by Lenion's wife in her image, but that's not especially important.
I think mine would seek the stars given half the chance as well.
Haha, Doctor Doctor Doctor, I didn't mean to imply otherwise. Simply that 'crawling out of the mud' v a god fashioning them by their powers does not make a difference. They're precious little dancers either way, wouldn't you agree?
[She snickered softly.]
I fear it will not be in my lifetime, but I've seen quite a bit as is at least.
Oh I could believe that. They're quite ... copious in their growth as a species. Which is to say that they're very good at dancing with each other and making more dancers as a result.
I can admit that... I wouldn't be. I may be a much free-er person than I think some imagine at first glance when it comes to dancing, but I generally only want to dance with one person at a time. At least that way.
[She said it without judgment. if it worked for them, it worked for them.]
It's... part of why I broke things off with Keith.
And if that's what works for you, that's fine. Brilliant even. Jack's from the Fifty-First Century. They do things a bit differently then. And that was back when he was only human. Now, he's immortal.
Mmhmm, to each their own, I say. If it makes someone happy, they should be free to be happy, all happy together. That's my ideal world. Free and everyone happy.

Yuuuuuuup. [In other words, sounds like Jack.]
Not really, no. But maybe -time travel is a factor here for me.
Though - that doesn't add up for Jack.
Maybe, you're just more adaptable, all around.
no subject
And no, no time travel involved.

Yeah, sowwy. 'Friad, I don't understand.

They're indomitable.

[A firm tone.]
All life is important.
[Then a bit more relaxed and simple remarks.]
If they're meant to in your universe they will.

They danced across the universe from where I'm from.

One way to make peace though-out the universe.
[Certainly could be worse, after all. A pause.]
Sorry. Why are we having this conversation again? Oh, right.
Yeah.
I'm still a bit stressed out about us. Even if Jack's allowed a few dance cards on the side.
no subject
...
Are you ok with that?
no subject
Yes. I told him he was allowed to. Before we had the ceremony but still stand by it.
I can't give him what he wants when he always wants that.
And, I really don't care either. He's not going to leave me for someone else.
[The Doctor remarks with a cocky tone]

Agreed.
no subject
Now I just have to ask the partner I want to dance to dance with me... in a little bit. They're not quite ready to dance quite yet.
no subject
Best of luck to you.
