In my defense... the candy had screwed with my mind and I wasn't entirely thinking straight after my first death, let's be honest. I had initially thought Hana and I had gone far enough, so Chloe and I well... [Ahem] finished the job. Hana, between you and I, we never actually got as far as I sometimes hint. Chloe was actually my first. I haven't had the heart to tell her she's quite the virgin slayer in this town.

[She snickered a bit to herself. She really hadn't been in a great place during the first months of 2019, had she?] It's not all bad. I always had more than enough potential as is, and sometimes I think I once relied too much on my raw power. So... a little humbling may have been good for me, now that I know why.

I'm hopeful, but you know that. One of us has to be a little optimistic after all.
