Though it goes a bit beyond just missing home at this point. Theta, at the very least only missed home but at least Theta knew there was a home to go back too.
Now, there isn't a Gallifrey to go back too and The Doctor feels alone in his universe; even more so in the multiverse, even more without his Tardis.
