[A tinny man's voice gives what is clearly a default answer machine message. Vira-Lorr is still figuring the phone out it seems.] "Hello, we are not available now. Please leave your name and phone number after the beep. We will return your call." *Beep*
Very well. I'll take care to avoid such eggs in the future. Or perhaps try and move them somewhere less occupied by people before they hatch. Do you have someone to look after you while you're recovering?
This happened when I moved it to FEAR for testing, so whatever you do, be extremely careful.
Mercy's been administering her treatments. It's helped a great deal, and the flu symptoms are minimal for now, but there are problems. I cannot seem to remember much, if anything, from before I came to Deerington.
[Okay, that's worrying.] Do you think you could recall things if you were reminded? I can share what you've told me before, if you think it would help.
I have photos, from December, at home. I've been staring at them and the names on them but nothing comes back to me. Mercy's been trying to help but all I can seem to remember is my race, my name and my magic.
Every memory here is fine, but it worries me. I would not mind you telling me, and I would be writing it down, but I fear I may be like this for a few weeks. Disconcerting and ominous at best.
Actually, I would like to see you. I was given a camera recently, and I want to take a picture with you and your friends. Just in case. I do not trust Deerington.
[It takes a while for Franciscus to make it to Vira-Lorr's place, but once he's there he knocks on the door, using his other arm to support himself against it as well.]
[She opened the door before motioning for him to come in and make himself comfortable. While she wasn't ill thanks to Mercy's treatments, she definitely wasn't a hundred percent either.]
You are looking a little the worse for wear. Can I offer something for you?
[Said as a green chicken poked its bejeweled head from a corner to sneak a peak at him curiously.]
[Franciscus sits down, doing his best to stay dignified about it instead of just sprawling over. He's about to answer when the chicken appears and he stares at it for a moment. Oh, hello little chicken. He turns his head to smile at it, before turning back to Vira-Lorr.]
Oh, it's a kind of creature that has magical powers on its own, and can cast powerful spells much as I could. I think it is natural to the creature, though I do think they use that to focus their power.
Susan? No, she appeared about a month ago in a basket. I freaked out at first, though... well, honestly, I don't entirely remember why I was. She's been a delight, honestly, and I couldn't imagine not having all of these creatures around the house. They keep me company.
[Memories of fighting Luijts like Susan back home? Gone entirely right now.]
[Franciscus nods in enthusiastic agreement.] I can't imagine not having my Pokemon with me, either. I'm still not used to the idea that so many people don't consider their companionship a common thing...
I suppose that it is one of the traits of your world that is most singular to it. I haven't sen anyone with similar circumstances before. Still it is fascinating in way.
But you're quite welcome, though it was a moment of enlightened self interest as well. I wasn't quite in the mood to become worm food, after all. [She was managing to laugh right now. It helped a lot to have a day to recover.]
I... you know, we're still getting to know each other, but yes. I'll promise to do what I can to stop you from doing something Rose would probably be upset if you did. I have a feeling I can pin down what that might be.
...we should talk about death in this place, I think. Another day. When you're not worried about each other.
[Pause. Uh. You know what? yeah, after their few conversations? She's going to ask, because she's slightly curious.]
Would you forgive a slightly personal question, Doctor?
[A silent 'thank you' with relief in his face - usually, he's okay. Usually, he can sit on this inner beast of himself but sometimes - sometimes snaps like a rubber band and doesn't think. Turns off what is right and wrong and just does and Rose being eaten by a giant worm is one of those times.
Then a nod about talking about death; though he has gathered some information about it here and there]
Mmm, are the two of you lovers, or just extremely good friends? You don't have to answer if you'd rather not. But, after that day and seeing you two together, I was a little curious.
[Certainly, she could see extremely good friends or lovers both having reason to flip the fuck out if the other died. Family too. But part of her felt like it might be a good idea to be certain of the dynamic there. It could affect how he might react to threats to Rose.]
[Ten body jerks uneasy for a moment he's not sure how to answer that per say. Lovers imply a sexual relationship and where it's been intimate with Rose having seen him regenerate and snogging - it hasn't been the definition of sexual relationship per say; at least involving genitals but being seen regenerated by someone and tossing the random dice to something a younger body and taking her eyes is debatablely sexual in a non-traditional sense. The Doctor pops his mouth in thought]
